I was able to see David Curlin about a week ago and his condition has improved greatly. The day I saw him was the first day he was getting to be inclined and sit up. He was very alert and speaking but still had no voice due to his trache tube. He was breathing on his own but still on supplemental O2 but in good spirits and smiling the whole visit. They had just finished a wash out of his injuries and were rebandaging him. It was really good to see him like that with such improvements. I asked him if he remebered what had happened and he said he remembered everything. I told him we saved the beam so if he wanted to go by and kick it every day he could!! I love you brother and my prayers and thoughts are with you and your speedy recovery.
